Palm Beach County Property Appraiser announces scholarship awards
West Palm Beach, FL – The office of Palm Beach County Property Appraiser Dorothy Jacks, CFA, FIAAO, AAS, announced the award of six college scholarships of $1,500 each to Palm Beach County high school seniors.

Graduating from John I. Leonard High School
Attending Florida Atlantic University -
Alex Hernandez Gomez
Graduating from Pahokee Middle-Senior High School
Attending Palm Beach State College -
Victor Paniagua
Graduating from Pahokee Middle-Senior High School
Attending Palm Beach State College -
Yadira Silvestre
Graduating from Glades Central Community High School
Attending University of South Florida -
Giselle Silvestre
Graduating from Glades Central Community High School
Attending University of South Florida -
Tracey-Ann Wiggan
Graduating from Pahokee Middle-Senior High School
Attending Florida A&M University
Each recipient will also be offered an opportunity for a paid summer internship in the Property Appraiser's Office.
“Our scholarships are entirely funding by staff donations, so it’s really a joy to recognize these incredible students,” said Ms. Jacks. “This year’s scholarship awardees have demonstrated excellence in academic ability, persistence, leadership, and service to others. Congratulations to them and to the entire class of 2024.”
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at a small ceremony at the Property Appraiser’s Office in West Palm Beach at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31.
With this 31st year of the program, the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser's Office has awarded $179,000 in college scholarships.
